Gambling - Annual fees: Are you in the right bracket?

24 Apr
2018

In July many Operators will be required to pay their licence annual fees to the Commission.

As we previously reported the Commission has introduced a new charging scale for Operators based not upon the number of physical shops within their business but linked to their Gross Gaming Yield (GGY).  The new system took effect from April 2017.

Operators should ensure that their current designation matches their GGY so that their annual fees will also be correct.

If you find yourself in the wrong band, a variation application to the Commission may be a simple solution to the issue.

Non-payment of annual fees can lead to a licensing reviews and it would therefore be prudent to resolve this issue before your invoice lands.

If you require any assistance in assessing your fees category or varying your licence, please contact one of our solicitors who can assist with such enquiries.
